Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

In a separate small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.

Pour half of the batter into a greased 9-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture over the batter.

Repeat with the remaining batter and brown sugar mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
