  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and egg until well combined.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
