How To Make Recipe Tunisian Spinach Rice
This flavorful dish combines tender spinach and aromatic spices with fluffy rice for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb fresh spinach, stemmed and chopped
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds
Instructions

Rinse the rice in cold water and drain. In a medium pot, add the water and bring to a boil.

Add the rice, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until water is absorbed.

In a separate skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is translucent.

Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt. Stir until fragrant.

Add the chopped spinach and stir until wilted.

Add the cooked rice, raisins, and almonds to the skillet. Mix well.

Adjust seasonings to taste.
