How To Make Lebanese Lamb Kofta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, grated onion, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, spices, salt, and pepper.

  2. Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape each portion around a wooden skewer into a long sausage shape.

  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat.

  4. Grill the lamb kofta for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through.

  5. Serve hot with yogurt sauce, rice, and fresh herbs.
