- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet.

In a shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat in the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Place the breaded chicken breasts onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each breast. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
