How To Make Israeli Hummus

Creamy chickpea dip with tahini and lemon flavor.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini paste
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • salt, to taste
  • water, as needed
  • paprika and olive oil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt.

  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

  3. Add water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.

  4. Adjust seasoning if needed.

  5. Transfer hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika.

  6. Serve with pita chips or fresh veggies.
