How To Make Instant Pot Palak Paneer Recipe
A traditional Indian dish made with spinach, spices, and paneer cheese cooked in an Instant Pot.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 (5-ounce) bags fresh baby spinach
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup crumbled paneer cheese
Instructions

Select the sauté function on the Instant Pot and heat the ghee or oil.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onion is soft and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cayenne pepper (if using) and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Add the water, spinach, salt, and black pepper and stir to combine.

Lock the lid on the Instant Pot and select the pressure cook function for 5 minutes.

When the cooking time is up, release the pressure manually and carefully remove the lid.

Stir in the heavy cream and paneer cheese until the cheese is warm and slightly melted.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
