How To Make Indian Tofu Bhojpuri Recipe

A delicious and flavorful Indian tofu dish made with a spicy tomato-based gravy.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • Water
  • Oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies and sauté for a minute.

  3. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, and spices (red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala). Cook until tomatoes turn mushy.

  4. Add a cup of water and let the gravy simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Add cubed tofu and cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Serve hot with rice or bread.
