Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.

  2. Gradually add warm water and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.

  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a medium-sized circle.

  4. Heat a tawa or skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Place the rolled Chapati onto the hot tawa and cook for about 30 seconds until bubbles form.

  6. Flip the Chapati and cook for another 30 seconds until golden brown spots appear.

  7. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.

  8. Brush each cooked Chapati with a little oil to keep them soft.

  9. Serve hot with your favorite curry or dip.
