How To Make French Toast Bacon Butties

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices of bread
  • Butter, for frying
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crispy. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.

  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated.

  4. In the same frying pan, melt a small amount of butter over medium heat. Place the soaked bread slices in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides.

  5. Remove the French toast from the pan and place on a plate. Divide the cooked bacon between four slices of the French toast. Top with the remaining French toast slices to make sandwiches.

  6. Serve the French toast bacon butties with a drizzle of maple syrup. Enjoy!
