Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips
  • 2 cups of shredded Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  3. Add the chicken strips and taco seasoning to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

  4. On a baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in a single layer.

  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the tortilla chips.

  6. Add the cooked chicken to the baking sheet over the cheese layer.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Top the nachos with diced avocado, tomato, sour cream, and jalapeño slices.
