How To Make Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Biscuits Recipe

Fluffy and soft biscuits with a sweet glaze, just like Krispy Kreme!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly.

  3. Add in the milk and vanilla extract, stirring until a dough forms.

  4. On a floured surface, knead the dough 10-12 times and then roll it out to 1/2 inch thickness.

  5. Cut out biscuit shapes using a 3 inch cookie cutter.

  6. In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F.

  7. Fry the biscuits for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

  8. In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and water to make the glaze.

  9. Once the biscuits have cooled slightly, dip them into the glaze and place them on a wire rack to set.
