How To Make Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Biscuits Recipe
Fluffy and soft biscuits with a sweet glaze, just like Krispy Kreme!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup of water
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly.

Add in the milk and vanilla extract, stirring until a dough forms.

On a floured surface, knead the dough 10-12 times and then roll it out to 1/2 inch thickness.

Cut out biscuit shapes using a 3 inch cookie cutter.

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F.

Fry the biscuits for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and water to make the glaze.

Once the biscuits have cooled slightly, dip them into the glaze and place them on a wire rack to set.
