How To Make Hardee’s Buttermilk Ranch Chicken Sandwich Recipe
Crispy fried chicken sandwich topped with cool ranch dressing and crispy bacon for a delicious flavor.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 8 strips of cooked bacon
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- Lettuce and tomato (optional)
Instructions
-
Pound the chicken breasts until they are uniform in thickness.
-
In a shallow bowl, mix the buttermilk with salt and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, making sure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
-
Remove the chicken breasts from the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, making sure it’s fully covered.
-
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and fry for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
-
Toast the hamburger buns.
-
Assemble the sandwiches by spreading ranch dressing on the bottom half of the bun. Add the chicken, cheese, bacon and any desired toppings.
-
Serve immediately.
