How To Make Furr’s Cafeteria’s Green Beans Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 4 cups water
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add 2 teaspoons of salt to the boiling water.

Add 1 pound of trimmed fresh green beans to the boiling water and cook for 7-8 minutes or until they are tender yet crisp.

Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water. This will stop the cooking process and help the green beans retain their crispness.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan, add the green beans, and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.

Sauté for a few minutes until the green beans are coated with the butter and heated through.
