How To Make Furr’s Cafeteria’s Chicken and Rice Casserole
Creamy, comforting casserole with tender chicken and fluffy rice.

Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, mix together chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, uncooked rice, water, onion, green pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.

Remove foil and sprinkle shredded cheese over casserole. Return to oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
