How To Make Dots Lemon Bars Recipe

Refreshing and tangy lemon bars with a buttery crust and dotted with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Cream butter and powdered sugar together until fluffy, then gradually add in flour and salt and mix till it forms a dough.

  3. Press dough mixture onto an 8×8 inch baking pan, prick with a fork, and bake for 17-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

  4. Meanwhile, whisk eggs, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest and baking powder together until blended.

  5. Pour mixture over the baked crust and bake for another 15-18 minutes or until set, and the edges are golden.

  6. Let the bars cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.

  7. Slice and serve.
