Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has darkened and the flavors have melded together.

  4. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
