How To Make Brock’s BBQ Cornbread Recipe
Sweet and savory cornbread with a BBQ twist.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, oil, honey, and egg.

Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in corn kernels and jalapeños.

Pour batter into a greased 9-inch cast-iron skillet.

Drizzle BBQ sauce over the top of the batter.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
