How To Make Brock’s BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Recipe
A vegan take on traditional BBQ pulled pork using jackfruit as the star ingredient.

Ingredients
- 2 cans of young jackfruit (in brine or water)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Drain and rinse jackfruit, removing the core and any seeds.

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, stirring constantly.

Add red pepper and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until softened.

Add jackfruit, vegetable broth, and BBQ sauce to the pan. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Using a fork, pull apart the jackfruit until it resembles pulled pork.

Serve on buns or over rice and enjoy!
