How To Make Bourbon Street Seafood Boil

A classic Cajun seafood boil, with succulent shrimp, crawfish, and crab legs bursting with flavor and spice.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. large shrimp, deveined and peeled
  • 2 lbs. crawfish, cleaned and washed
  • 2 lbs. crab legs
  • 4 ears of corn, shucked and halved
  • 4 potatoes, halved
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 lemons, halved
  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup of Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup of bourbon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.

  2. Add in the onion, garlic, and potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes.

  3. Add the corn, crab legs, and crawfish. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.

  4. Add the shrimp and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through.

  5. Drain the pot, reserving some of the cooking liquid.

  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, bourbon, and Cajun seasoning.

  7. Pour the butter mixture over the seafood and toss to coat.

  8. Serve hot with the reserved cooking liquid for dipping and extra spice.
