How To Make Bourbon Street Breaded Alligator Recipe

A crispy and flavorful dish featuring alligator meat breaded with bourbon and Cajun spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb alligator meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika and Cajun seasoning in a bowl.

  2. Dip alligator meat in bourbon, then coat with flour mixture.

  3. Dip coated meat into beaten eggs and then back into the flour mixture until fully coated.

  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and add the coated alligator meat.

  5. Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

  6. Drain on paper towels and season with salt and pepper before serving.
