How To Make Blue Ribbon Lemon Bars

Tangy and sweet, these lemon bars are a crowd favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until crumbly.

  3. Press mixture into a greased 8-inch baking dish.

  4. Bake crust for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.

  5. In another mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, baking powder, and salt.

  6. Pour mixture over the baked crust.

  7. Bake for another 20-25 minutes until set.

  8. Let cool and slice into squares.

  9. Dust with powdered sugar on top for garnish, if desired.
