  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup Aunt Jemima’s Pancake Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle iron and coat with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together pancake mix, water, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  3. Dip chicken strips into batter to coat and place onto waffle iron. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.

  4. Remove chicken and repeat until all chicken is cooked.
