How To Make Spiced Smoky Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 chicken leg quarters
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, chili powder, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Rub the chicken leg quarters with olive oil, then generously coat them with the spice mixture.

Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 15 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Brush barbecue sauce on the chicken during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
