How To Make Classic Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Lay each chicken breast flat and place 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese on top. Roll up the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.

In a shallow dish, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. In another dish, place the beaten eggs. In a third dish, spread out the bread crumbs.

Roll each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally roll in the bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
