  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup malted milk powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, malted milk powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs then add in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix, as this will result in tough waffles.

  5. Grease the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray or a bit of melted butter.

  6. Ladle the batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, or until golden brown and crisp.

  7. Serve the waffles warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
