How To Make Daddy’s Shrimp Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 250g of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp of sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of white pepper powder
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Salt, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend shrimp, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper powder until smooth.

  2. Cut the crusts off the bread slices and spread a generous amount of the shrimp mixture on one side of each slice.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  4. Gently place the shrimp side of the bread slices into the hot oil, shrimp side down.

  5. Fry until golden brown, then flip and fry the other side until crispy.

  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.

  7. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

  9. Serve hot.
