How To Make Sourdough Pancakes

These pancakes are made with tangy sourdough starter, giving them a unique flavor and fluffy texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the sourdough starter, flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and honey together, then add in the milk and melted butter.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined (a few lumps are okay).

  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat, and grease lightly with butter or cooking spray.

  5. Using a 1/4 cup measure, drop batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to look dry, then flip and cook for another minute or two on the other side.

  6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
