How To Make Sourdough Focaccia Recipe

A delicious and aromatic Italian bread that is made using sourdough.

Ingredients

  • 250g bread flour
  • 150g sourdough starter
  • 200ml warm water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 tbsp rosemary leaves
  • 1-2 tbsp coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine bread flour, sourdough starter, warm water, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth.

  3. Proof the dough for 2 hours.

  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C.

  5. Roll the dough into a square shape and transfer it to a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  6. Brush with olive oil and press your fingers into the dough to create shallow holes.

  7. Sprinkle rosemary leaves and coarse sea salt on top.

  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
