Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, applesauce, maple syrup, sourdough starter, egg and vanilla extract.

  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix well.

  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts.

  6. Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray.

  7. Pour the batter into the pan.

  8. Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  9. Cool the bread on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
