Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 beef fillet steaks (about 6 oz each)
- 4 slices of prosciutto
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp horseradish
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped dill
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Season the beef fillet steaks with salt and pepper. Wrap each steak with a slice of prosciutto, securing it with a toothpick if needed.
-
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef fillets for about 2 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.
-
Transfer the fillets to a baking dish and place in the preheated oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
-
While the beef is cooking, prepare the horseradish sauce by combining sour cream, horseradish, and fresh chopped dill in a small bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.
-
Remove the beef fillets from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with the horseradish sauce on the side.
