How To Make Braised Beef Chuck Recipe
Tender beef chuck braised in a flavorful broth with vegetables, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless beef chuck roast
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven or oven-proof pot over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and sear until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.

Remove the beef and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the beef broth and red wine, stirring and scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.

Add the beef back into the pot, along with the bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a boil, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Bake for 2 hours, then stir in the carrots and celery.

Continue to bake, uncovered, for an additional hour or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.

Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
