Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cumin

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.

  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until desired consistency is reached.

  3. Add the diced tomato, chopped red onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno (if using), salt, black pepper, and cumin to the mashed avocados.

  4. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or salads.
