- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon ice water
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a food processor, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, all-purpose flour, cold cubed butter, salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the ice water and continue pulsing until the dough comes together.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.

Cut the dough into long strips, about 1/2-inch wide.

Place the cheese straws onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
