  • 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground caraway seeds
  • 4 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2-3 tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Gruyere, flour, salt, and ground caraway seeds. Mix well.

  3. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture becomes crumbly.

  4. Gradually add the cold water while mixing until a dough forms.

  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

  6. Cut the dough into strips and twist them.

  7. Place the twisted dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve.
