How To Make Chestnuts in Cointreau & Orange Syrup

- 400g chestnuts, peeled
- 200ml Cointreau
- 200ml orange juice
- 150g sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 orange, sliced
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions

In a saucepan, combine the Cointreau, orange juice, sugar, cinnamon stick, and orange slices. Bring to a boil.

Add the chestnuts to the saucepan and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until the chestnuts are tender.

Remove the chestnuts from the syrup and set aside. Continue to simmer the syrup until it thickens.

Pour the syrup over the chestnuts and let them cool completely.

Serve the chestnuts with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
