  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes, for heat

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar.

  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to simmer.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth.

  4. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, stirring constantly.

  5. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. If desired, add crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.

  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.

  8. Use as a dipping sauce or drizzle over your favorite dishes.
