
How To Make Prawn Satay Skewers Recipe
Deliciously marinated prawns grilled to perfection and served with a peanut dipping sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 20 large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
- Peanut dipping sauce:
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, coconut milk, and salt and pepper.

Add in peeled prawns and mix well. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Thread prawns onto skewers and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked.

While the prawns are cooking, in a small saucepan, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, water, vinegar, garlic, lime juice, and cayenne pepper. Cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

Serve hot prawn skewers with peanut dipping sauce.
