How To Make Mushroom Gravy Recipe (Gluten-Free)

A delicious gluten-free mushroom gravy perfect for topping mashed potatoes, meat, or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp of butter and add sliced mushrooms. Cook until browned and tender.
  2. Remove mushrooms from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp of butter. Whisk in the gluten-free flour until smooth.
  4. Slowly add in the broth and continue whisking until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
  5. Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked mushrooms back to the skillet and warm through.
  7. Serve over your favorite meat, veggies, or mashed potatoes.
