Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb sausage
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook white rice according to package instructions.

  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.

  3. Add diced onion, bell pepper, garlic, and celery to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender.

  4. Add cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.

  5. Add cooked rice to the skillet and mix everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
