How To Make Mummy Meatloaf Recipe

This spooky twist on a classic meatloaf recipe is perfect for Halloween!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 can (8 oz) of refrigerated crescent rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl until well combined.

  3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.

  4. Spread ketchup and mustard on top of the meatloaf.

  5. Place slices of bacon on top to create a mummy-like appearance, leaving space for the eyes.

  6. Unroll crescent rolls and cut into thin strips. Use the strips to cover the meatloaf, leaving the eyes exposed.

  7. Bake for 1 hour or until internal temperature is 160°F.

  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
