How To Make Easter Lamb and Mint Sauce

Tender and juicy lamb served with a fresh and flavorful mint sauce, perfect for your Easter celebration.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg leg of lamb
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup of mint leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 tsp of honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper.

  3. Rub the mixture all over the lamb.

  4. Place the lamb in a baking dish and pour chicken broth around it.

  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.

  6. Remove the foil and bake for additional 30 minutes.

  7. Let the lamb rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  8. In a small bowl, mix together chopped mint leaves, plain yogurt, lemon juice, and honey.

  9. Serve the lamb with the mint sauce on the side.
