How To Make Easter Peeps Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 Peeps marshmallows
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate larger bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand, then press a Peeps marshmallow into the center of each cookie.
