How To Make Russet Potato and Cheese Pierogi Recipe
Delicious pierogi filled with creamy mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 large russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together flour and salt. Add warm water and stir until dough forms.

Knead dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

Boil potatoes until soft, then mash with cheese and butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Roll out dough to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into circles.

Place a spoonful of potato mixture in the center of each circle, then fold and pinch edges to seal.

Boil pierogi in salted water for 3-4 minutes until they float to the surface.

Serve with sour cream or your favorite toppings.
