Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds of pork belly, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Mix well.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add pork belly slices and cook until browned on both sides.

  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork and stir well. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour or until the pork is tender.

  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to make a slurry. Add the slurry to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.

  5. Serve the sticky pork over rice or noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions.
