Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 2 cups couscous
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes.

  3. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

  4. Pour the honey glaze over the pork chops and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

  5. Meanwhile, bring the chicken broth to a boil in a saucepan. Add the couscous, cover, and remove from heat. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.

  6. Stir in the sliced spring onions and season with salt and pepper.

  7. Serve the sticky glazed pork chops alongside the spring onion couscous.
