How To Make Baked Pork Steak Recipe

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 pork steaks
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork steaks.

  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Add pork steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

  6. Remove the pork steaks from the skillet.

  7. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onions are translucent.

  8. Add beef broth to deglaze the skillet, scraping the browned bits from the bottom.

  9. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  10. Return the pork steaks to the skillet and spoon the onion and garlic mixture over them.

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.

  12. Remove the pork steaks from the skillet and place on a serving platter.

  13. In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and water until smooth.

  14. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet and stir until thickened.

  15. Serve the pork steaks with the onion and garlic gravy.
