How To Make Sausage & Fennel Seed Slices

Ingredients
- 4 sausages
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a small saucepan, toast the fennel seeds over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant. Remove from heat and crush lightly using a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon.

Place the sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Score the sausages diagonally with a sharp knife.

Brush the sausages with olive oil and sprinkle with the crushed fennel seeds. Season with salt and pepper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let the sausages cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve the sausage slices as a delicious appetizer or as part of a charcuterie board.
