A tangy, sweet BBQ sauce made with fresh rhubarb that pairs perfectly with grilled meats and veggies.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped rhubarb
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rhubarb has broken down and sauce has thickened.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool.

  4. Transfer to a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.

  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
