Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh spinach leaves
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, blanch the spinach leaves for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Add the blanched spinach to the skillet and stir well to combine with the garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.

  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with nutmeg for garnish.

  7. Serve hot as a side dish. Enjoy!
